About the Role – You will:

Be able to work on multiple concurrent battery technology development programs
-
Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule despite setbacks.

Proactively ensure that risk-mitigating actions are ongoing within the engineering teams
-
Identify multi-functional design dependencies and risks
-
Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified, escalating with the leadership team when required
-
Exceptional attention to detail with a perfectionist mentality
-
Able to work full days at an assembly station and lift over 50 lbs regularly
Collaborate with:

Technical teams and product managers to define product requirements
-
Mechanical design engineers and purchasing managers to ensure on-time releases
-
Software and firmware engineers to ensure that software goals and schedules are synced
-
Reliability and test engineers to make sure validation efforts are thorough and timely
-
Finance to make sure program is adequately budgeted and then executed on-budget
-
Other duties as assigned by management
About You:

Looking for:

3+ years of experience in assembly

Experience with lithium-ion batteries, EV powertrain, or high voltage systems preferred.

Experience with designing and analyzing HV chains preferred

Experience with designing and analyzing low voltage wiring systems preferred

Experience with integrating and interfacing with complex battery management systems preferred
-
Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules.
On top of all of that ideally, you have:

Coordinate prototype build activities (work with cross-functional teams to coordinate clear to build, line readiness, technician allocation, etc.)

Track and drive closure to supply chain, manufacturing, and prototype build issues

Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering functions and the rest of the enterprise, including sales, finance, marketing, supply chain, etc.

Collaborate with:

BS in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or equivalent experience

Experience with lithium-ion battery module/system (cell cooling, electrical interconnect, and sensing) design and analysis preferred

Experience with methods for testing, analyzing, and mitigating battery thermal runaway preferred

Experience with designing and analyzing HV chains preferred
-
Experience with designing and analyzing low voltage wiring systems preferred
-
Experience with integrating and interfacing with complex battery management systems preferred

Experience in full product development cycle; design, development, test, manufacturing, and assembly operations preferred

Demonstrated understanding of multilevel Bill of Material hierarchy, including hardware and software components.

Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules.

Demonstrated understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures.
