About the Role – You will:

• Be able to work on multiple concurrent battery technology development programs

• Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule despite setbacks.

• Proactively ensure that risk-mitigating actions are ongoing within the engineering teams

• Identify multi-functional design dependencies and risks

• Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified, escalating with the leadership team when required

• Exceptional attention to detail with a perfectionist mentality

• Able to work full days at an assembly station and lift over 50 lbs regularly
   

Collaborate with:

• Technical teams and product managers to define product requirements

• Mechanical design engineers and purchasing managers to ensure on-time releases

• Software and firmware engineers to ensure that software goals and schedules are synced

• Reliability and test engineers to make sure validation efforts are thorough and timely

• Finance to make sure program is adequately budgeted and then executed on-budget

• Other duties as assigned by management
   

About You:

• Self-motivated, action-driven, and biased towards results with a strong sense of ownership of the project and organizational goals

• Strong mechanical skills with tools and manufacturing machinery

Looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in assembly

• Experience with lithium-ion batteries, EV powertrain, or high voltage systems preferred.

• Experience with designing and analyzing HV chains preferred

• Experience with designing and analyzing low voltage wiring systems preferred

• Experience with integrating and interfacing with complex battery management systems preferred

• Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules.
   

On top of all of that ideally, you have:

• Battery pack other transferable experience.

• Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles.

About the Role – You will:

• Implement multiple concurrent battery technology development programs

• Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule despite setbacks.

• Proactively ensure that risk-mitigating actions are ongoing within the engineering teams

• Identify multi-functional design dependencies and risks

• Lead weekly cross-functional team meetings for each program

• Coordinate prototype build activities (work with cross-functional teams to coordinate clear to build, line readiness, technician allocation, etc.)

• Track and drive closure to supply chain, manufacturing, and prototype build issues

• Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering functions and the rest of the enterprise, including sales, finance, marketing, supply chain, etc.

• Collaborate with:

• Technical teams and product managers to define product requirements

• Mechanical design engineers and purchasing managers to ensure on-time releases

• Software and firmware engineers to ensure that software goals and schedules are synced

• Reliability and test engineers to make sure validation efforts are thorough and timely

Looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in managing complex hardware projects through the full product development life cycle

• BS in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or equivalent experience

• Experience with lithium-ion batteries, EV powertrain, or high voltage systems required.

• Experience with lithium-ion battery module/system (cell cooling, electrical interconnect, and sensing) design and analysis preferred

• Experience with methods for testing, analyzing, and mitigating battery thermal runaway preferred

• Experience with designing and analyzing HV chains preferred

• Experience with designing and analyzing low voltage wiring systems preferred

• Experience with integrating and interfacing with complex battery management systems preferred

• Experience in full product development cycle; design, development, test, manufacturing, and assembly operations preferred

• Demonstrated understanding of multilevel Bill of Material hierarchy, including hardware and software components.

• Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules.

• Demonstrated understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and communicate tradeoffs between engineering design, manufacturability, schedule, and cost

• Demonstrated ability to communicate/present complex technical concepts to non-technical teams, audience ranging from cross-functional support individuals to executive leadership
